Academic & Vocational Education Pathways

澳门王中王鈥檚 Private Senior High School programs, specifically designed for Years 10 to 12, offer students many opportunities to become self-directed, metacognitive and collaborative learners. All programs are designed to assist students develop the skills and knowledge to ensure they are fully prepared for post-school careers including tertiary education and vocational pathways. 澳门王中王 has an on-site full-time Careers Advisor. With more than 30 curriculum subjects on offer, students receive every opportunity to pursue their passions and interests as they aspire to achieve individual excellence.

Senior School students are offered a broad and diverse curriculum, as well as tailored school timetables, as 澳门王中王 aims to meet the individual needs of each student. 澳门王中王 not only offers traditional core subjects but also an extensive range of innovative elective units as part of our comprehensive academic and vocational educational and training (VET) program. Among the many curriculum subjects, 澳门王中王 offers students five science subjects including Agricultural Science, as well as extension subjects in several areas including mathematics, music and humanities. Students are also thoroughly prepared for the new internal and external ATAR assessments and the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).

澳门王中王 works in conjunction with TAFE and other RTO offerings, to provide more than ten on-site certificate courses covering an extensive range of industry areas including construction, manufacturing, engineering, business, retail, hospitality, health and fitness, technology and aviation as part of 澳门王中王鈥檚 vocational educational program.

Senior School students are offered a range of engaging and challenging extra-curricular and outdoor experiences that foster leadership, teamwork, loyalty and persistence, while building resilience and confidence. This is part of 澳门王中王鈥檚 comprehensive Outdoor Education camp program for Prep to Year 12. 澳门王中王 offers more than 35 extra-curricular programs including sport, music, drama, public speaking, cattle team show, equestrian, dance and much more. These activities allow students to not experience enjoyment and success, while striving for goals in their individual pursuits, but also ensuring they feel connected to each other and the College community.

Year 10

The Year 10 curriculum at 澳门王中王 consists of core and elective subjects. All students undertake core subjects and three elective subjects.

Students attend Chapel and Assembly for one period each during the course of the week.

Year 11

Year 11 students may complete General Subjects and Applied Subjects. To be eligible for an ATAR, a student must study a minimum of 4 General Subjects and one other. Students are required to study 6 subjects in total.

From 2020, Queensland鈥檚 standard pathway to tertiary entry, for Year 12 school leavers, will be the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR). ATARs are calculated by .

Before 2020, the Overall Position (OP) was the primary pathway for tertiary entrance for Year 12 school leavers.
